Professional Services Consultant

Earnix is looking for multiple analytics consultants in both banking and insurance to help with our growth in North America.

Location:  anywhere in America

Major responsibilities:

  • Work independently or within a team of our professionals with the largest banks and insurance companies across the globe
  • Lead projects around supply and demand business analytics with a focus on the value of price optimization using the Earnix software, including:
    • Supporting data extraction and analysis
    • building/reviewing cost based models
    • developing price elasticity models
    • applying optimization
    • synthesizing strategic recommendations
    • aiding in tactical implementation of pricing/lever recommendations
  • Train customer personnel on the use of Earnix software
  • Assist in thought leadership and product development activities around analytics in banking and insurance with a focus on client impact
  • Maintain best business practices in a growing analytics consulting environment
  • Present work in various business settings (small meetings, groups, and conferences)

Desired Skills and Experience

  • At least 5-10 years of experience in actuarial, statistical or economic consulting
    • Banking background: a focus on retail consumer banks or senior roles working for retail consumer banks with specific knowledge of both deposit and lending products a plus
    • Insurance background: a focus on property casualty senior roles with a product exposure with pricing and rating structure design
  • At least 5-10 years of work experience in applied statistics/econometrics including advanced data preparation, analysis, and statistical modeling
  • Good working knowledge of SAS and/or other statistical software packages (i.e. SAS, Python, R, SQL, etc.)
  • Graduate with Honors in statistics/ mathematics/economics from leading universities

There are two significant roles for our professional services team: pre-sales support and project delivery.

Pre-Sales Support:

Work with Earnix executives to present our solution to Banking prospects. Typically Pre-Sales Support includes the following activities:

  • Represent Earnix as a leader, manage strong networks and generate demand for new opportunities
  • Participate in client sales meetings in support of Earnix sales teams and management
  • Provide industry insights, especially related to pricing strategy and processes with a strong understanding of industry “best practices”, competitive landscape and regulation

Project Delivery:

Work independently or within a team of our professionals with the largest banks in North America on a proof of concept, pilot or an implementation project to test the value of price optimization using the Earnix software. Typically Project Delivery work includes the following activities:

  • Responsible for execution and project leadership for large and complex projects, ensuring that client objectives are met. Project leadership spans strategic thought leadership and insight generation, doing, directing, overseeing the team’s day to day work efforts, regularly interacting with the client, and helping to shape the client agenda
  • Developing the capabilities of the more junior consultants and gaining their followership
  • Defining data requirements and support data extraction, preparation, and analysis
  • Developing price elasticity models and other predictive models (e.g. profitability)
  • Reviewing customer’s business environment and rate setting process and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Working with the customer’s team to develop a pricing strategy for implementation
  • Developing business cases to support the final stage of client projects
  • Presenting findings, recommendations, and deliverables to customer’s senior management
  • Training customer personnel on the use of the models and the system

Project delivery work requires strong Statistical/Economic/Quantitative background.

Job Requirements:

Team Leader Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full leadership of a server oriented development Team of up to 5 individuals.
  • Technical leadership of the Team. Being responsible for the overall design work, reviewing designs done by members of the Team, helping to make technology related calls and such.
  • Scrum Master of the Team. Advocating and ensuring compliance with the Agile Scrum process, Sprint planning, scheduling and moderating meetings, representing the Team in the Scrum of Scrum (SoS) meeting, ensuring up to date status of delivery in issue tracking system and such.
