Nicolas Weng Kan
CEO Google Compare
Nicolas Weng Kan was hired into the insurance industry by the Admiral Group, the second largest car insurer in the UK in 2005. Nicolas was Operations Managing Director at Admiral and the CEO of Confused.com, Admiral Group’s price comparison website. At Admiral, Nicolas was part of the executive team that oversaw the shift of distribution of Auto insurance away from traditional advertising media to online and Price comparison websites, achieving a 300% growth in premium and policy base while maintaining an expense ratio that was the envy of the industry.
In 2013 Nicolas was appointed CEO of Google Compare in 2013.
Google Compare operates comparison shopping for Auto Insurance and Credit Cards in the United States and in the United Kingdom, with its UK operations starting in 2012.
Before working in the insurance industry, Nicolas worked for Swiss engineering firm Staubli in Europe and Asia. Nicolas has an MBA from INSEAD Fontainebleau France and a Master of Mechanical Engineering from UTC in Compiegne, France.
Founder WAZE (acquired by Google), Founder FeeX
Uri Levine co-founded WAZE, the world’s largest driving traffic and navigation app, with more than 200M users. Google acquired it on 2013 for $1.1 billion. Uri also co-founded FeeX, where he serves as Chairman. FeeX finds and reduces hidden fees on financial services and addresses a problem in the size of $600 billion in the US alone. Uri works to create a better world for the consumer, empowering it with information. His focus is to save us all money, and time.

Marcin Warszewski has been associated with Liberty Ubezpieczenia since 2009. In 2014 he has become the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Earlier (2011-2014) as a Technical Director he was responsible i.a. for product development, actuary, underwriting and claims adjustment. Before joining Liberty, he was Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where he provided consulting services to various clients in the financial sector. He conducted a range of projects regarding business strategy and operations management in Central and Eastern Europe, USA and Near East. He is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Professor Moorad Choudhry is Founder of The Certificate of Bank Treasury Risk Management. He has over 25 years’ experience in banking in the City of London and was latterly IPO Treasurer at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to that he was Head of Treasury at RBS Corporate Banking, Head of Treasury at Europe Arab Bank, Head of Treasury at KBC Financial Products and vice-president in structured finance services at JPMorgan Chase Bank.
Moorad is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities& Investment and member of the Board of Governors of IFS-University College. He is Editor of Review of Financial Markets, and author of The Principles of Banking (John Wiley & Sons 2012).
Professor Eric T. Bradlow
Eric T. Bradlow is currently Chairperson, Wharton Marketing Department, Vice-Dean and Director, Wharton Doctoral Programs, The K.P. Chao Professor, Professor of Marketing, Statistics, and Education and Co-Director of the Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School in 1988, an A.M. in Mathematical Statistics in 1990 and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics in 1994 from Harvard University. He joined the Wharton faculty in 1996.
From 2008- 2011, Eric was Editor-in-Chief of Marketing Science, the premier academic journal in Marketing. He was recently named one of eight inaugural University of Pennsylvania Fellows, a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, a Fellow of the American Education Research Association, a Fellow of the Wharton Risk Center, a Senior Fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics, is past chair of the American Statistical Association Section on Statistics in Marketing, is a statistical Fellow of Bell Labs, and was previously named DuPont Corporation’s best young researcher. His book, Marketing for Financial Advisors (McGraw-Hill) bridges his interests between customer data and financial investing.
His academic research interests include Bayesian modeling, statistical computing, and developing new methodology for unique data structures with application to business problems, education and psychometrics and health outcomes.
President of ISO Insurance Programs and Analytic Services
This ISO unit develops ISO’s core products and services, such as advisory prospective loss costs (projections of future claims), policy forms, underwriting rules, and related information products that most insurers use to write one or more lines of commercial or personal business. Ms. Fitzgerald’s area is instrumental in the development of ISO’s various predictive analytical products for underwriting personal and commercial insurance. Under her direction, ISO also collects and compiles data from insurers, acts as statistical agent for all U.S. insurance regulators, supplies actuarial and data management consulting services, and conducts cutting-edge research on various issues in property/casualty insurance.
Ms. Fitzgerald joined ISO in 1980 as an actuarial assistant and previously held the position of senior vice president of Commercial Lines. Over the course of her career at ISO, she has helped drive innovation in data management and pricing for both personal and commercial lines, including pioneering pricing models for catastrophe modeling and cyber insurance.
Ms. Fitzgerald earned her Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter, and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Deputy CFO Personal Banking & Head of Price Management, Danske Bank
Tony was appointed Deputy CFO Personal Banking & Head of Price Management at Danske Bank in 2013. His focus includes Performance Management for the Personal Banking Division of the Bank with a special emphasis on Price Management and Product and Pricing Governance.
In his previous roles, Tony was Head of Price Management, focusing on governance, price leakage and price reporting; and Head of Pricing Excellence at Danske Bank Group, responsible for increasing pricing awareness in the group, redefining the value proposition for the Danish personal banking customers and more effectively pricing interest rates to this customer group.
Prior to that, Tony held senior pricing positions at Microsoft, Lego Education and has worked as an independent pricing consultant.
Group Chief Pricing Actuary General Insurance – Zurich
Thomas has more than 20 years working experience as a non-life actuary for global reinsurance and insurance companies and consultancy. He has substantial insurance market expertise across most lines of business and in-depth knowledge on underwriting and risk management processes.
Thomas was appointed Chief Pricing Actuary General Insurance (GI) in October 2014. As Chief Pricing Actuary, GI, Thomas leads the global Pricing & Analytics team as well as the wider pricing community across GI. The Chief Pricing Actuary GI participates in pricing strategy and portfolio management development and implements the actuarial components of our emerged strategy. He serves as a member of the global Underwriting Leadership team, of the Actuarial Leadership Council and of Zurich’s Leadership Team.
Before re-joining Zurich, Thomas was principal at Milliman. He successfully build and managed Milliman’s Swiss non-life practice in Zurich since end 2007. Prior to that, Thomas was for two years Head of Reinsurance Analytics at Zurich’s reinsurance department. This role included responsibility for pricing, reserving and optimizing internal and external reinsurance structures and responsibility on the worldwide natural catastrophe model. While Head of Non-Traditional Pricing at Converium Thomas served as an FSA approved board member of the Medical Defense Union Service Ltd from 2001 to 2005. Between 1996 and 2001 Thomas specialized as a pricing actuary, served in non-traditional underwriting and worked in the asset management team of Partners Group, a private equity company.
Thomas holds a PhD in Mathematics and Master of Science from the University of Zürich. He is member of the Swiss Association of Actuaries.

Tanguy is a leader in McKinsey’s North American Financial Services and Marketing & Sales Practices, where he has worked with leading institutions in North America, Europe and Asia to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing industry.
His recent client engagements include assisting a top-10 P&C and Life insurer in building an internal digital agency; helping a US multi-line carrier accelerate test and learn capabilities and a personalization engine for its online channel; and working with a number of major multi-line players to optimize their marketing spend across media, channels and products.
Tanguy is also a frequent contributor to industry publications and the author of several McKinsey white papers on issues confronting the insurance industry.

Serkan Ülgen was born in 1976. He graduated from Bilkent University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Industrial Engineering in 1998. He received his master’s degree in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University in 2004.
Ülgen started his professional career in 1998 at Boyner Holding’s Benkar Consumer Finance and Credit Card Services with Advantage Card Project. He worked at the Database Marketing and Consumer Relationship Management departments as Product Manager until 2001. The same year, he joined Yapı Kredi’s CRM team as Manager. He is currently Individual & Platinum Banking and Card Payment Systems Executive Vice President at Yapı Kredi Retail Banking.

Bill Madison is currently responsible for all auto, home, life and commercial insurance business including solutions for underwriting, claims, and analytics for the U.S. and international Markets.
Madison has played a key role in the integration of data services into multiple channels and in transforming LexisNexis from being a data provider in insurance to providing a holistic approach to risk analysis, underwriting, and claims processing that includes process enhancement. These innovative solutions have helped insurance carriers achieve significant improvements in performance.
Madison joined the organization in 1989 as part of Equifax’s acquisition of Innovative Research Inc., where he was a member of the leadership team which developed several products that revolutionized auto insurance underwriting. When the company’s insurance services team was spun off from Equifax to create ChoicePoint, he was instrumental in transitioning the organization into a standalone unit.
Madison earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Va. He lives in the Atlanta area with his family.
Principal in the Milan office of McKinsey & Company and part of the Marketing in Banking Practice
Walter Rizzi leads the Retail Banking Pricing Service Line in Europe and is a key member of the global McKinsey center of competence “Global Banking Pricing Lab”. His expertise covers in particular statistical models for price differentiation and customer management.
Since he joined the Firm in 2002, Walter has been serving Banks and Insurances in Europe, focusing on Marketing and commercial transformation projects. His focus is on advanced credit line and pricing management approach for credit cards, based on advanced customer segmentation by behavior and risk, as well as advanced pricing approach for Time Deposits, based on customer segmentation by elasticity and value.
He introduced advanced technical and commercial pricing techniques to Motor tariffs of several subsidiaries of European Insurance group, and implemented sales force productivity and change management approach for a leading Italian bank.
Walter holds a M.S. in Management Engineering from The Polytechnic University of Milan and an MBA from INSEAD.
EVP, Head of Business Intelligence, Axis Bank
Balaji Narayanamurthy is Executive Vice President and heads the Business Intelligence Unit for the retail bank at Axis Bank. He joined the bank close to 4 years ago to set up the analytics team for consumer lending. Prior to joining Axis Bank, Mr. Balaji worked close to 10 years in the credit card business in United States. The last 3 years of it was as a Group Director of Analytics in the card business of Barclay Card U.S.
Prior to Barclaycard, Mr. Balaji worked at various roles in the U.S. credit card business of Capital One as a Senior Business Manager for close to seven years. Before that, Mr.Balaji started his career as a management associate at Citibank India in their corporate bank within the transaction banking group.
Mr. Balaji graduated as a Bachelor of Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT Madras and has an MBA in Finance from IIM Lucknow
Pricing Director, Simply Business
Philip Williams has been Pricing Director of Simply Business since July 2014. Simply Business started in 2005 as a tech challenger to the commercial insurance market and has since grown to become the UK’s largest SME insurance broker.
Before joining Simply Business, Philip served as Commercial Director for Lancaster Insurance (a division of Capita plc), where he was responsible for IT, Underwriting, Pricing and Change Management and Pricing Director of Capita Insurance services at the time the 5th largest personal lines broker in the UK.
Prior to Capita Philip held a number of technical roles in the UK insurance industry, running the capital and underwriting functions of UIA Insurance, a UK household insurer, marketing at Nationwide Building Society and pricing at BGL Group.
Philip is a Chartered Insurer, holds an MBA from Cranfield University School of Management and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Bath.
VP Treasury Strategy, Deutsche Bank
Sam has worked in Treasury Strategy at Deutsche Bank since 2014, looking at the bank’s strategic planning from the perspective of financial resource management, with particular focus on the liquidity buffer.
Prior to this, Sam was head of Transfer Pricing Execution at Barclays, and previously he also held roles in Liquidity Management and Treasury Technology in Barclays Capital.
Sam holds an MA in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London.
