Travelers Insurance’s David Whiting Joins Earnix North America
Authority in business analytics to support Earnix’s continued North American expansion
New York, NY – September 4, 2013 – Earnix, a leading provider of integrated pricing and customer analytics solutions for banking and insurance, today announced the addition of analytics expert David Whiting, Ph.D., as the company’s Director of Professional Services, North America. David will further the breadth and depth of Earnix team in the region, leading the management and on-the-ground delivery of advanced analytics projects performed for customers in the United States and Canada.
With over 18 years of experience in analytics and statistical modeling, David brings to Earnix a broad expertise in predictive modeling for reserving and pricing in insurance, financial statement fraud detection, and customer segmentation, among other areas. Before joining Earnix, David served as Senior Director of Strategic Business Analytics at Travelers Insurance. There he led projects on a variety of predictive and exploratory model analyses. Prior to Travelers, Dr. Whiting was Associate Chair of the Brigham Young University Department of Statistics, where he was employed as a statistics professor since 1995. He holds a Ph.D. in statistics from Texas A&M University, and a M.S. in statistics and B.A. in chemistry from Brigham Young University.
