We are looking for a FinOp Specialist responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of multiple cloud-based complex environments, providing comprehensive financial and technical analysis and support. Helping gain visibility on cloud spend, identify opportunities for optimization, and achieve governance.

Key Responsibilities

o  Evangelize cloud cost management across different levels within the organization, including decision making executives and , R&D and customer service teams. Help promote a culture of cost accountability and awareness.

o  Provide in-depth understandings into Earnix billing and cost models and develop usage forecasts to help calculate efficiency and future expenditure

o  Suggest and promote methodologies to optimize costs and usage

o  Deliver the tooling and capabilities needed to enable our cloud financial management roadmap.

o  Craft detailed product level visibility that will help drive better business decisions and cost accountability.

o  Provide summaries, reports, and detailed usage statistics for resources, offering actionable intelligence to right-size and scale services efficiently.

o  Manage the provisioning of cloud resources to customers and affiliates

o  Assess new business needs and manage existing ones

o  Work extensively with leading cloud vendors. 

o  Be a subject matter expert on cloud cost levers (EDP, Auto Scaling, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, Savings Plans, etc.)

o  Work effectively with cross-functional teams, assimilating requirements, driving results in data insights, and building strategic partnerships


o  A Bachelor’s Degree in either Economics, Business, Finance or Computer Science 

o  Proven experience in Cloud Cost Management.

o  Experience with AWS billing, cost management tools, and processes (preferred).

o  Knowledge of Public Cloud offerings and consumption models

o  Knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and tools (preferred).

o  Knowledge of financial principles and business finance.

o  A high degree of problem-solving and the ability to identify root causes and create appropriate solutions

o  Solid organizational and project management skills

o  Advanced proficiency with analytical and visualization tools (Excel, AWS Athena, Splunk, SQL, etc.)

o  Excellent written and verbal communications skills

o  Excellent interpersonal skills

o  Must take the initiative and be proactive in communicating promptly with internal customers and with vendors

o  Ability to work independently under the pressure of deadlines

o  Ability to handle multiple assignments to successful completion

o  Excellent attention to details and ability to synthesize data

o  Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as an individual and as part of a team
